CHARACTERISTICS
Chesterton 279 - a clear, colorless, low odor precision cleaning solvent. State-of-the-art HFE technology removes light oils, particles, Krytox * grease, fluoropolymers and other contaminants from electrical and electronic contacts and assemblies. Non-flammable, rapidly evaporating, low residue, non-corrosive, high degree of purity, high dielectric strength, no ozone-depleting effect, no volatile organic hydrocarbons, replaces CFC-113, safe on plastics, approved by the NSF. Compatible with all metals, plastics and elastomers. For use in electronics (electrical / electronic systems and motorized instruments), in medicine (medical devices and oxygen lines and valves) as well as in gyroscopes and sensitive instruments.
