CHARACTERISTICS
AF/Armaflex® is the professional flexible insulation material for long-term reliable condensation prevention. The optimal combination of a very low thermal conductivity with an extremely high water vapour diffusion resistance contributes to the permanent prevention of energy losses and water vapour penetration and reduces the risk of corrosion under the insulation. AF/Armaflex is the first flexible insulation material to feature MICROBAN® technology. When microbes come into contact with the insulation surface, the MICROBAN® protection penetrates the cell walls of the micro-organism, rendering it non-functional and unable to grow or multiply. This means that AT/Armaflex products now have additional resistance to mould and mildew. AT/Armaflex products are used to insulate and protect pipes, air ducts and tanks in refrigeration, air conditioning and process plants, to prevent condensation and save energy, and to reduce structure-borne sound transmission in water and waste water installations.
